FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We have some frequently asked questions that we thought would be helpful to anyone considering the investment of countertops and other home renovation projects. Here are our most frequently asked questions! Remember, if you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call or stop by our showroom!
Remnants refers to the stones that we are left with after cutting slabs for other projects. The material is just as good as a brand new full slab, and the only difference is the size. Usually, remnants are not suitable if you’re looking for a huge kitchen countertop or other big projects. If you are looking for a small project such as a bathroom vanity top, using a remnant would be a wise choice.
We will match or beat any competitor’s price as long as the quote you have is official and prepared according to industry standards.
Granite is a natural stone mined from quarries all around the world, cut down to a manageable size, and then polished to a fine finish. It is a durable material that’s resistant to heat. Due to its porous nature, it can stain if spilled liquids are left sitting – It is recommended that you reseal this stone once a year.
Quartz is a “man-made” stone and its manufactured using a mixture of ground natural quartz, pigment and polymer resins. This stone requires little maintenance and does not need to be resealed. Quartz is not heat-proof and can be damaged by excessive heat contact.
Roldan Guerrero (President of TGI Quartz and Granite) started this business in February of 2013 when he ran into numerous problems while remodelling his own kitchen. Realizing that taking on this venture could be a little bit intimidating, he wanted to create a company that worked with its customers, making their project run smoothly, easing their worries, and making the process as stress-free as possible.
We receive our granite and quartz stones directly from the distributors of countries such Brazil, India, Italy, Norway and more. This guarantees that we can offer you exceptional quality. There is also no middle-man, which allows us to offer you extremely competitive prices. Our stones also come in slabs, they are not pre-made. That way, you know you are getting a custom piece for your home and not a generic one-fits-all countertop.
